Improved plasmids for gene targeting at the his-3 locus of Neurospora crassa by electroporation: correction
Margolin, B.S., Freitag, M. and Selker, E.U. - Institute of Molecular Biology, University of Oregon, Eugene, OR 97403, USA
Two mistakes in our article on gene replacement by gene targeting at the his-3 locus (Margolin, B.S. et al., 1997, FGN 44:34-36) have come to our attention. First, conditions for electroporation are reported incorrectly. Electroporation of conidia is performed at 1.5 kV in a 0.2 cm cuvette resulting in a voltage gradient of 7.5 kV/cm (rather than 1.5 kV/cm as stated in the article). Second, Fig. 1B refers to pBM60 rather than pBM61; updated maps are available on the FGSC website. We regret the inconvenience these mistakes have caused.
