hydroxamic acid sensitive

locus: has

locus_name: hydroxamic acid sensitive

organism_type: B

chromosome_number:

chromosome_side:

link_group:

cultural_requirements: Not mapped. Unlinked to azs (311).Lacks salicyl hydroxamic acid-sensitive respiratory pathway; cannot produce the hydroxamate-sensitive respiratory pathway when grown in the presence of chloramphenicol. Grows slowly in the presence of antimycin A (311). Double mutant has;azs is unable to grow in the presence of antimycin A; the wild type and the has+;azs single mutant are able to grow well on antimycin A. The double mutant has;azs (called ANT-1: antimycin sensitive) was used to obtain oligomycin-resistant (312) and succinate dehydrogenase-deficient (307) mutants. From strain ANT-1, called alx-1 (308).
