Suppressed by several lys and arg auxotrophic genes, which apparently give the double mutant greater sensitivity to p-fluorophenylalanine with no increase in uptake (555). Scored on solid medium containing 10 µg of p-fluorophenylalanine or 60 µg of 4-methyltryptophan per ml; see reference 550.
